Dear friends and members,
Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed. Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
I greet you in the peace and in the love of the resurrected Christ on this Easter Season. I hope this letter finds you well. I miss seeing each of you, but I am hopeful that we will see each other soon. We are in May and June; not to mention this is the time in which the weather begins to get warmer and nature blooms. Yet, we continue to live during tough and difficult times in which we are still practicing physical distancing, being at home and going out when necessary, and we might feel alone. However, Christ has not abandoned us. The risen Christ continues to comfort, sustain, and strengthen us during these uncertain times.
The future looks uncertain at this moment and you probably have changed and canceled plans that you were looking forward to, not only with your family and friends but also with your church family. I know I have, and it has been heartbreaking since I was looking forward to being part of and get to know each of you more. It is easy to fall into despair during this pandemic situation and feel anxious and stressed about the future. This situation has shown us how little control we have over our lives. Yet, I want us to focus on the positive side of this difficult situation, this situation has given us a different point of view of doing ministry, that even myself did not imagine doing such as preaching live on Facebook. I want us to take this opportunity to reflect on these coming weeks on what God is asking us to do when it comes to doing ministry. This is the opportunity to connect with loved ones and/or friends who you have not talked to in a while, connect and support communities who have been marginalized and oppressed in the past, and reflect in your own personal lives on what you need to change so that when we reunite again, we will come back renewed in spirit and ready to do God’s work in the community.
I want to thank everyone for being supportive and helpful during these difficult times with each other and with myself. This situation with the COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult to navigate on a personal level and as a pastor. But each one of you has been incredible and amazing at being patient with me as I find ways of bringing the Word of God to you each Sunday morning, as well as finding ways of connecting with each of you and continue caring for each one. I cannot imagine how this pandemic has also impacted and affected you, but I encourage you to continue finding ways of connecting with each other and praying for one another.
Thank you to those who continue doing ministry among the challenges. I want to also thank those who have been able to give financially to the church, your generosity is needed in these hard times. I understand that this situation has brought unexpected situations in the lives of some of you so do not feel pressured or obligated to give if you are not able to contribute at this moment to the church, take care of yourselves first. God knows the sincerity of our hearts and understands, be in prayer for our church. If you need help, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or someone who you trust, this is the time to lean on one another and support each other.
I leave you with these words, Jesus tells us: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27) Let us continue blooming during this spring and Easter season, leaving our troubles and worries to God and fill our hearts with his love and peace.

¡Cristo ha resucitado! Él ha resucitado. ¡Aleluya, aleluya, aleluya!
Los saludo en la paz y en el amor del Cristo resucitado en esta temporada de Pascua. Espero que estén bien. Extraño verlos a todos, pero tengo la esperanza de que nos veremos pronto. Estamos en mayo y junio; sin mencionar que este es el momento en que el clima comienza a calentarse y florece la naturaleza. Sin embargo, seguimos viviendo durante tiempos difíciles en los que todavía
practicamos distanciamiento físico, estamos en casa y salimos cuando es necesario, y podríamos sentirnos solos. Sin embargo, Cristo no nos ha abandonado. El Cristo resucitado continúa consolándonos, sosteniéndonos y fortaleciéndonos durante estos tiempos inciertos.
El futuro parece incierto en este momento y probablemente ustedes hayan cambiado y cancelado planes no solo con su familia y amigos, sino también con la iglesia. Yo he tenido que hacerlo también, y ha sido lamentable no estar juntos. Es fácil caer en la desesperación durante esta situación de pandemia y sentirse ansioso y estresado por el futuro. Esta situación nos ha demostrado
cuán poco control tenemos sobre nuestras vidas. Sin embargo, quiero que nos centremos en el lado positivo de esta difícil situación, esta situación nos ha dado un punto de vista diferente de hacer ministerio, que ni siquiera yo imaginaba hacer, como por ejemplo predicar en vivo en Facebook. Quiero que aprovechemos esta oportunidad para reflexionar en las próximas semanas
sobre lo que Dios nos pide que hagamos. Esta es la oportunidad de conectarse con sus seres queridos y/o amigos con los que no ha hablado durante un tiempo, conectarse y apoyar con comunidades que han sido marginadas y oprimidas en el pasado, y reflexionar en sus propias vidas personales sobre lo que necesita cambiar. para que cuando nos reunamos nuevamente, volvamos renovados en espíritu y listos para hacer el trabajo de Dios en la comunidad.
Quiero agradecer a todos por ser solidarios durante estos tiempos difíciles entre nosotros y conmigo mismo. Esta situación con la pandemia de COVID-19 ha sido difícil de navegar a nivel personal y como pastor. Pero cada uno de ustedes ha sido increíble y asombroso al ser paciente conmigo mientras encuentro maneras de llevarles la Palabra de Dios cada domingo por la mañana,
así como encontrar formas de conectarme con cada uno de ustedes y seguir cuidando de cada uno. No puedo imaginar cómo esta pandemia también ha impactado y afectado a cada uno de ustedes, pero los animo a que continúen encontrando formas de conectarse entre sí y orando por los demás.
También quiero agradecer a aquellos que han podido dar financieramente a la iglesia, su generosidad es necesaria en estos tiempos difíciles. Entiendo que esta situación ha traído situaciones inesperadas en la vida de algunos de ustedes, así que no se sientan presionados u obligados a dar si no pueden contribuir en este momento a la iglesia, cuídense primero. Dios conoce la sinceridad de nuestros corazones y entiende, estén en oración por nuestra iglesia. Si necesita ayuda, no dude en comunicarse conmigo o con alguien en quien confíe, este es el momento de apoyarse mutuamente.
Los dejo con estas palabras, Jesús nos dice: “Paz, te dejo; mi paz te doy. No te la doy como la da el mundo. No dejes que tu corazón se turbe y no tengas miedo “. (Juan 14:27) Sigamos floreciendo durante esta temporada de primavera y Pascua, dejando nuestros problemas y preocupaciones a Dios y llenando nuestros corazones con su amor y paz.
¡Recuerde, Cristo ha resucitado! Él ha resucitado. ¡Aleluya, aleluya, aleluya!
